This Contemporary Home was in need of some character! The entry point to the house needed to be defined and the kitchen was something less than desirable. The first thing we noticed was that this house needed to capitalize on it’s incredible view (one of the best we’ve seen in Fauquier County).
Inspired by a magazine photo of a very open kitchen with few upper cabinets and lots of glass we were able to expand the postage stamp sized Kitchen into a grand entertaining space overlooking the stunning view. We played upon the contemporary style of the house by adding offset roof lines, lots of glass, opening the floor plan, adding geometric dividing walls, and a new porch with a modern wire railing to keep transparency for the views.
Completed in May 2014.
